A PLACE FOR CREATION AND EXHIBITION

Located in Touraine, on a top floor originally designed to house a panoramic restaurant, the Top Floor Studio now provides a setting for creation, exhibition and fresh encounters. In this hybrid space, both artist’s studio and gallery, Gilles Martin / GM.145 presents his photographs, pasting, sculptures and artistic installations intended for private collectors, gallerists and museums.

A NEW WAY OF MILITATING

Street art takes part in artivism which illustrates a new way of militating. Paint one’s dreams on the walls, photograph one’s demands, showcase one’s convictions… « Today street art expands my field of action to talk about nature in a different way. It allows me to show the other side of nature, the one less prone to be in the light. Furthermore, this means of expression gives me the possibility to create without boundaries and also to broach sensitive topics, rarely dealt with, such as animal prostitution. »

LIMITED EDITION STRUGGLE FOR LIFE

Made famous by Charles Darwin in “The Origin of Species”, this expression is a perfect illustration of the survival problems now encountered by wild fauna in a world impacted by a harmful dominant species: Homo sapiens. The limited edition series Struggle for Life brings together the finest images in the eponymous portfolio. Such totemic species as the Elephant, the King Penguin, the Japanese Crane, the White rhinoceros, and the Grizzly Bear, are showcased.

LIMITED EDITION MICROMEGAS

“Micromégas”, a philosophical tale (1752) in which Voltaire – drawing inspiration from “Gulliver” – takes a new approach to Blaise Pascal’s theme of the two infinites: the Micro and the Mega. Printed in large formats, the photographs comprising the MicroMégas limited edition series reveal the fascinating and diverse world of the infinitely small. Made-to-measure compositions can also be created in collaboration with interior architects, for decorating shops, apartments, lofts, offices, etc.
